The idea of holding Slovakia Kindergarten Day came from the initiative of the Slovak Committee of the World Organization for Preschool Education (SV OMEP). An important landmark in the history of preschool pedagogy in Slovakia became the November 4, 1829. On this day, the first childcare center in Slovakia was established in Banská Bystrica. Its founder was Countess Mária Terézia Brunswick.Kindergarten Day 2023

They are the future of the world.” (Elton John)The initiative of the Slovak Committee of the World Organization for Preschool Education (SV OMEP) gave rise to the idea of organizing Kindergarten Day in Slovakia every year on 4th November. On this day – 4th November 1829 – the first daycare centre in Slovakia was founded by Countess Mária Terézia Brunswická in Banská Bystrica.
Partnership Days 2023 – presentation of the city´s projects
To continue its tradition, the city of Moldava nad Bodvou honoured its partner cities by inviting them to the Partnership Days 2023, which took place on 12th - 15th October 2023.Four of the nine partner cities accepted the invitation: Tišnov from the Czech Republic, Székelykeresztúr from Romania and Karcag and Encs from Hungary. A program rich in events was prepared for the official delegations, during which they visited the new Multifunctional Centre for Children and Youth for the first time on Friday afternoon.
