Get to Know Your Region, part 2
On the second day of the sports and hiking camp, we went to the village of Budimír near Košice that prides itself in having one of the oldest manor houses in Slovakia, as it was built in the 15th century.
As part of the tour of the manor house, we saw the exhibition of historical clocks. We were very interested in the information about the presented exhibits, about the history of time measurement, but also interesting facts about the past and present of the manor house, the small mansion and the granary that belong to it. We took a rest under the crowns of the trees in the nearby park and then went on to discover the beauty of the Tuff Canyon near the village of Ploské, where we followed a narrow forest path to a valley with tuff rocks, some of them 7 to 15 meters high. In the afternoon, the children could run around in the Anička playground. Despite being tired, the children went home with unforgettable experiences from the whole day.
