EXPERIENTAL READING IN THE COMMUNITY CENTER

Fairy tales help in the development and education of children, they contribute to the increased interest in reading, to the development of creativity and communication skills.

Since March is the month of books, we decided to dedicate it to experiential reading of fairy tales using non-traditional forms. We chose the fairy tale The Big Beet, which we dramatized after an interactive reading and did a play in Slovak and Hungarian. It was a difficult challenge for the children, since many of them have Romani as their mother tongue.

The follow up were creative workshops, in which fairy-tale wooden scoops turned into various characters, animals from fairy tales or others such as a prince, pirate, frog or a bunny.

We look forward to another fairy tale event.
