DISTRICT ROUND OF THE COMPETITION - "GET TO KNOW THE SLOVAK LANGUAGE"

On March 30, 2023 (Thursday), the Multifunctional Center for Children and Youth, in cooperation with the Bl. Sára Salkaházi United Catholic School organized the district round of the "Get to Know the Slovak Language" competition, which was attended by students from four schools, with the Hungarian language as the language of education, from the Košice I district, Košice- surroundings and Rožňava.


The main goal of the competition is to enhance students' interest in the Slovak language, especially in the active use of the language, to cherish and strengthen a positive relationship to Slovak culture, to the history of the Slovak nation, and to learn the native language.

The competition took place in Category I. and Category II, each of them consisting of 4 parts.  In the keen competition, the judges had a demanding task and finally decided on the following results:

CATEGORY I.
1st place - Zuzana Poláčiková (Sándor Márai Grammar School and Primary School with Hungarian as the language of education, Košice)
2nd place - Ella Rešková (Primary School with Hungarian as the language of education, Buzica)
3rd place - Jakub Oros (Sándor Márai Grammar School and Primary School with Hungarian as the language of education, Košice)

CATEGORY II.
1st place - Zsófia Szaniszló (Primary School with Hungarian as the language of education, Buzica)
2nd place - Viliam Gajdoš (Sándor Márai Grammar School and Primary School with Hungarian as the language of education, Košice)
3rd place - Gabriela Konkoľ (Primary School with Hungarian as the language of education, Buzica)

We congratulate everyone and keep our fingers crossed for the regional round of the competition!
We thank the teachers for preparing the students and the United Catholic School for the excellent cooperation in organizing the competition.
Thanks also go to the members of the jury for their expert and professional approach during the evaluation.
