THE VISIT OF THE PUPPET THEATRE IN KOŠICE
On Friday, March 11th, 2022, we went with the 2nd year students from the Szepsi Alapiskola - Primary school with vjm Moldava nad Bodvou to the Puppet Theater in Košice for a puppet play titled Janko Hraško a iné hraškoviny.
Zuzana Kollárová's puppet play combines the motives of the classic folk tale Janko Hraško and the well-known story of H. Ch. Andersen The Princess and the Pea. Both of these fairy tales were dominated by the pea, and it was this vegetable that was the great enemy of the main protagonist, little Katka. However, the responsible older brother Simon found a way to befriend the pea.The aim of this puppet play was to strengthen sibling relationships and convince the audience that every meal is their friend. During the tour of the city, we walked along the Main Street, we looked at the State Theater building and we also visited the Cathedral of St. Elizabeth. Since some of the children were in the theater for the first time, it was an unforgettable experience for them.
