ECO DAY
In our city, on the occasion of Earth Day (April 21, 2023), the 2nd annual entertainment and educational event called ECO DAY was held under the auspices of the Municipal Cultural Center, in which the Multifunctional Center for Children and Youth also participated.
Members of the Youth Parliament of the city of Moldava nad Bodvou prepared various creative activities for the children of elementary and kindergarten schools, such as an ECO quiz, a wooden memory game under the name "FOREST is not a DUMP!" focused on the decomposition time of waste in nature left by people.
The little ones could also play with the ECO cube, with which they practiced sorting waste into containers based on their color.
Identification of plant seeds was also included in learning activities. Children who passed the seed recognition test could take the seeds home and plant them in their gardens.
However, we all must take care of nature, not only on Earth Day but every single day, and behave responsibly. It is part of our lives, after all.
