Kindergarten Day 2023
"Children are incredibly important. They are the future of the world.” (Elton John)The initiative of the Slovak Committee of the World Organization for Preschool Education (SV OMEP) gave rise to the idea of organizing Kindergarten Day in Slovakia every year on 4th November. On this day – 4th November 1829 – the first daycare centre in Slovakia was founded by Countess Mária Terézia Brunswická in Banská Bystrica.
Partnership Days 2023 – presentation of the city´s projects
To continue its tradition, the city of Moldava nad Bodvou honoured its partner cities by inviting them to the Partnership Days 2023, which took place on 12th - 15th October 2023.Four of the nine partner cities accepted the invitation: Tišnov from the Czech Republic, Székelykeresztúr from Romania and Karcag and Encs from Hungary. A program rich in events was prepared for the official delegations, during which they visited the new Multifunctional Centre for Children and Youth for the first time on Friday afternoon.
Art and traditions without barriers
On 26th October 2023, the students of Szepsi Alapiskola, a primary school with Hungarian as a teaching language in Moldava nad Bodvou, in cooperation with the Multifunctional Centre for Children and Youth went to Košice to Thalia Színház Theatre to see a musical fairy tale called “Ágacska - Twig“.
European Day of Languages 2023
On 24th October 2023, the Multifunctional Centre for Children and Youth in cooperation with the Primary School Severná 21, organized for the second time the "European Day of Languages 2023" in the Great Hall of the City Cultural Centre.
Painted Path of Moldava
As part of the Sports Festival, which was held under the auspices of the City Sports Club on 13th October 2023 (Friday) in front of the Multifunctional Sports Hall in Moldava nad Bodvou, we organized the accompanying event "Painted Path of Moldava", the theme of which was "Sport for Health".
"HOCUS-POCUS" – graphomotor activities for children
Back in September, at the beginning of the school year, we worked with the Community Centre workers to develop graphomotor skills in children.
Hopscotch – making our surroundings more beautiful
Since the sun was still very warm in September, we could enjoy the time spent playing games outside with children in cooperation with the Community Centre workers.
Stop addictions – preventive lecture
On 20th and 21st September 2023, the Hungarian-language primary school in cooperation with the Multifunctional Centre for Children and Youth organized an interactive lecture for 5th and 6th grade students with a psychologist from the Prevention and Counselling Centre from Košice, the aim of which was to reduce the number of children who turn to drugs and other addictions to solve their problems.
Sock October 2023
One year has passed and the Sock October is here again. Together we managed to create 7 collection points in Moldava nad Bodvou last year. We collected a total of 300 socks!Big thanks to all the kind-hearted people who will join the collection again!
