WE ARE STARTING A ROMANI LANGUAGE COURSE
25 registered participants including teaching staff, professional staff, auxiliary educators and social workers from educational institutions from Moldava nad Bodvou and the surrounding area decided to learn the Romani language. During their work, they meet children and their legal representatives with whom they often experience a language barrier on a daily basis.
The first informational meeting of those interested in taking the Romani language course took place on 1st February 2023 in the Incubator House in Moldava nad Bodvou. Due to the large number of registered participants, we are opening 2 beginner groups that will meet every Wednesday during the months of February and March. The course will be led by PhDr. Karol Horváth, a lecturer and a graduate of the state language exam in the Romani language in Prague. The aim of the course is to acquire simple communication competence in the Romani language related to common situations in the performance of a given profession using a basic repertoire of words, simple phrases, basic grammatical structures and types of sentences.
In April, we plan to follow up this educational activity with a course for advanced students.
