HEALTH AND SAFETY TALK FOR SENIORS

The event was organized by the member organization of the Unity of Pensioners in Slovakia with the officers of the District Police Department in Moldava nad Bodvou npor. Bc. Pavel Czeranko and npor. Ing. Gabriel Gál.
The discussion was attended by more than 50 pensioners who came to listen to useful advice and information concerning their safety in everyday life. The aim of the event was to raise the awareness of seniors about the different types of risks that can endanger them and to provide them with practical tips on how to avoid dangers.
Officers provided information on the most common types of scams that target seniors and gave advice on how to protect against them, as well as practical tips to increase safety at home.
The main part of the program was followed by a discussion where seniors had the opportunity to ask questions and share their experiences. Police officers answered a number of questions about specific situations seniors encounter and gave them individual advice.
We believe that the information provided will help seniors better navigate safety issues and prevent risky situations.
